Family-owned, one location
A family counter on South Dixie Highway.
Spartan Dry Cleaners has stood at 5500 S Dixie Hwy for longer than most of our customers can remember. It is a family-owned shop with one door, one counter and one rule: nothing leaves until somebody has looked at it, treated it and finished it by hand.
A Master Tailor and seamstresses work in the building, so a hem, a lining or a gown repair never has to leave it either.
Hand finishing
Steam, a press and a pair of hands.
Every item that comes in is inspected and spot-treated before it is cleaned, using eco-friendly, non-toxic solvents. Then it is pressed and finished by hand: collars, cuffs, pleats and lapels, one garment at a time. It goes back in tissue, on a proper hanger, bagged or boxed.
The same care goes into the bigger jobs. We handle wedding gowns and down comforters, and we pick up dockside for yachts at Rybovich, Palm Harbor and the Palm Beach Town Docks.
How the family runs the shop
The counter, the press, the bag.
Counter.
You drop off at 5500 S Dixie Hwy, or book a free pickup. We collect across fifteen towns, from West Palm Beach and Palm Beach to Jupiter and Wellington, once or twice a week, and confirm your day by phone. Each order is tagged and checked over in front of you.
Press.
Stains are treated first, by hand, so the clean finishes the job instead of setting the mark. Alterations are cut and sewn in-house by the Master Tailor and the seamstresses, then the garment is checked again before the final press.
Ready
Bag.
Tissue, a custom hanger, then a bag or a box. Most dry cleaning is back in as little as 24 hours. If you are not 100% satisfied, bring it back and we re-clean it for free.
